Cristiano Ronaldo Loses Second Appeal And Will Not Play Against Espanyol

As reported by Marca, the CEDD (Spanish Sporting Disciplinary Committee) today decided not to reopen the case of Cristiano Ronaldo's two-match ban, forcing the Portuguese to sit out the second match of his suspension, picked up against Malaga for a wayward elbow, this Saturday against Espanyol.

The first match of the suspension was served in last week's match against Deportivo La Coruna, a match Los Blancos won handily.

Ronaldo, who celebrates his birthday today, will not get his birthday wish which he publicly declared as being able to play against Espanyol tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu.
