Additional Information
Futebol Clube Paços de Ferreira, commonly shortened to P.Ferreira, is a Portuguese football club based in Paços de Ferreira, who have won the second division three times, most recently in the 2004-05 season. The club is also in the process of building a new 25,000 seat stadium. F.C. Paços de Ferreira currently play at the Estádio da Mata Real in Paços de Ferreira in northern Portugal. The current team sponsor is Capital do Móvel and their kits are yellow and green.

The team currently play in the Portuguese top flight, the BwinLiga, and have achieved in 2006-07 season and their first ever qualification for the UEFA Cup. They have a curious habit of playing Spanish side Celta de Vigo every pre-season.

The origin of Paços de Ferreira is in the 1930s when the club was named Sport Club Pacense. The club played two decades without any official recognition until they began playing in the lower divisions in the 1950s where the club's name was Futebol clube Vasco da Gama which eventually was given to the Brazilian club Vasco da Gama. The club then changed the kit colours to the current ones and renamed themselves F. C. Paços de Ferreira.

Their beginnings with current denomination was on November 19 of 1950 where they beat Lousada 2-1. Agostinho Alves was the first goal scorer in the history of the Pacenses. The club then played in Portugal's third regional division until the 1956-57 season, where they were crowned champions. The club crest was then created in 1961-62, and has been used ever since.

The club was relegated and then promoted again and supporters hit the streets of the city on June 17 of 1973 when they defeated Perosinho 3-0. One year later they conquered the third division championship, on June 14, 1974, when they defeated Estrela de Portalegre. The hero of the game was goalscorer Mascarenhas.

In the 2006-07 season the northern club finished an impressive 6th place and qualified for the UEFA Cup, its first ever European competition, led by coach José Mota after impressive wins against Sporting Clube de Portugal and ties with SL Benfica and FC Porto. They were ousted after a good fight, losing 0-1 on aggregate to AZ Alkmaar. The club finished 15th in 2007-2008 season and normally relegated to Liga de Honra but readmitted after Boavista was forced to relegation.

New stadium
F.C. Paços de Ferreira currently are making a new stadium with a capacity of 25,000 seats in Paços de Ferreira replacing there old stadium Estádio da Mata Real which only holds 15,000 seats but was being remade because it was there since 1973 as there home ground.Although F.C. Paços de Ferreira are a little club they managed the funds to make the new stadium.

Fans
The Group of fans "Yellow Boys" was founded in 1996, returning afterwards in 2001 and come back to the third attempt in April 2006 and up to the always present moment, outside and at home, in the support to the club of the Capital of the Piece of furniture. It is currently the hard nucleus of apoiantes of the Blacksmith Palaces Club Soccer. Previously, already it had existed two groups of fans, however extinct, to "Yellow Fever" and to "Yellow Mania"
